MANIFATTURA FERRO FROM 1985…

It was 1895 when Maria Brunello, Alberto, Silvia and Matteo Ferro’s grandmother, founded the company in Agna: “Maria’s textiles”.  Maria has been one of the first woman in the Italy of XIX century to run a company by herself, since she was widowed very young with a little a child dependent from her. Skilled embroiderer, Maria has always had a great passion for trade and commerce. She used to go to Padova to buy some textiles and she often embroidered them too. Her son, Silvio, learned from his mother all the knowledge and the enthusiasm for the art of  commerce and after getting his university degree he opened a chain of shops with Angelina, his wife. She was a determinate woman and with her mother-in -low made the success of the family business.

It’s 1945, the second world war ends and Italy starts an era of enthusiasm and new chances as never before. This is the moment of  Silvio and Angelina’s daughters and son. Maria and her husband Giorgio Ferro follow a new way: they sell the prêt-a-porte. It’s a huge success. Giovanni, Maria’s brother, decides to wide his business choosing the wholesale area to answer the strong market request. In 1985, when Centro Grossisti in Padova was born, Giovanni lives the way to his nephews Alberto, Silvia and Matteo Ferro. Today, thanks to their passion and dedication, their company is a benchmark in the business of textiles, house furniture and  haberdashery of all Italy and east Europe.
